Athletic Association

This association promotes school spirit and pride at TDSS by organizing athletic activities and special events for the student body and staff. The association elects its own executive consisting of students from grades 9 to 12.

The Music Department has four bands: the Junior Band (Gr. 9 Beginning music students), the Intermediate Band (Gr. 9 Advanced and Gr. 10 music students), the Stage Band (open to anyone with at least 2 years experience on an instrument), and the Senior Concert Band(Gr. 11 and 12 music students.)
All bands compete in the local Music Festival and perform at various functions around the school and the community. At least two major Band Concerts which feature these groups are held each year.

Drama Club

The Bring the House Down Players is an active and competitive drama club that produces a full length play each fall as well as two one-act plays for the Sears Drama Festival each spring. Back stage work, lighting, sound, acting, set design and construction, as well as writing and directing, are all part of this club. There is something to suit everyone.

Envirothon Club

Students learn about the environment and participate in a Provincial competition. There is a senior and junior team. You will learrn about, and discuss topics such as wildlife, forestry, and aquatics. You will participate in environmentally activities in and around the school and discuss current environmental problems. We meet once a week at lunch time.

If you care about the environment and like nature - this is the club for you!

The TDSS Spectrum is a safe place for all students, regardless of their sexual orientation.  At the TDSS GSA we discuss current issues, and plan activities within the school and community. The goal of the TDSS GSA is to create an environment where differences are celebrated.
